On September 22 Pages to Kings traveled to Lafayette, Indiana to be part of the annual Vigilstock Concert. The concert is a celebration of Shannon Hoon’s life and music. Shannon was the great lead singer for the band Blind Melon back in the early to mid nineties. He was born and raised in Lafayette, and each year bands come together to play Blind Melon songs and also their own original music to celebrate the life and music of Shannon Hoon with each other in a setting surrounded by people who personally knew him. It’s a really good event and we encourage everyone to check it out at least once. The day before the concert there is the actual vigil at his grave site with family and friends.
